- Care & Cleaning of your PRODUCT -

  • AVOID CHEMICALS: When using your fur each day, be sure to avoid applying chemicals to it, such as perfume, hairspray, and makeup.
  • STAINING: Regardless of the color of the fur, the natural oils it contains makes it highly resistant to stains. However in the case that your fur does become lightly stained, wet a small part of a clean white cloth with a mixture of one-part rubbing alcohol and one-part water. Gently rub the stain in the direction of the hairs (do not scrub!) until it is gone. Do not rinse. Place the piece in a well ventilated area until the water and alcohol have completely evaporated from the fur. - For excessive stains, it is suggested that you take your piece to a qualified furrier.
  • AVOID EXCESSIVE HEAT: Avoid substantial periods of heat and/or long term UV exposure. Prolonged exposure to excessive heat and UV rays will begin to dry out the leather and/or fur and the natural oils of the materials will begin to break down.
  • WATER MOISTURE: Furs and leathers will handle light rain and snow better than a lot of materials. If your leather and/or fur gets wet, gently wipe the water off of the surface using a clean dry cloth and allow to stand alone until completely dry. Do not apply heat of any sort in an attempt to quicken the process. You may brush the hair back into place, only after it is dry, using a soft bristle brush and brushing with the direction of the hairs.  If your fur becomes completely soaked through to the leather, to the point that it feels like a sponge, seal it in a bag to prevent drying, and immediately take it to a qualified furrier.
